Involved in inevitable sizzle of AI, human’s desire at extreme humanization of them is seen by Zidian as a manifestation of arrogance and narcissism, a feeling reinforced by the quest to mold human-like appearance of AI and to mimic the products of human creativity.
With the support of non-anthropocentrism, Zidian sets the scene as part of future museum. It is the way to exhibit the public’s developing attitude towards AI in futural context at present. Moreover, museums are used to being recognized as places which display the remnants of history, indicating the perspective from Zidian that nowadays’ circumstance mentioned before will become history of future.
During the exhibition of the work all the audience are invited to participate in the creation of the sculpture to complete the final-ish image of the work. Audience (Human) can access materials easily and free to destroy, refine, and maintain the present near-human ‘image’ of the AI, since the threshold of participation is as low as it is now and more possible for future to join the AI development process. Those materials are rubbish-like broken stuff which is also a metaphor of corrupt AI future preferred by Zidian.
Manual creation (processed by humans) and AI creation (generated by stable diffusion) keep intermingling and influencing each other, while the future outcome is the result of everyone’s participation in the present.
